Nikita Delyukov

Beauty and art are my main sources of inspiration. They led me to photography.

I photograph live performances — circus, theatre, and stage shows — capturing moments that exist only once. I work in a documentary style, focusing on trust, movement, and the emotional reality behind the performance.

I am also a journalist and producer. Together with my friend Max Sidorenko, I co-founded CircusLife.com.ua and Teatr.Media, and co-produce the theatre podcast Stanciia Teatralna. What started as a small initiative has grown into a team of journalists, artists, and video producers working to promote Ukrainian culture.

In 2024–2025 our photo exhibition “Ukrainian Circus During War” was shown in Kyiv, Berlin and Hamburg (Germany) and Perth (Australia). The project combined performance photography with personal stories of circus artists and children, reflecting how war has shaped their lives and creative practice.

We continue to publish articles on circus and theatre, attend performances and festivals, and work as official media partners for several international circus events. Our YouTube podcasts Bla Bla Circus and Stanciia Teatralna explore the lives of artists, directors, managers, and other professionals behind the scenes of the performing arts.

Our team also films concerts, circus shows, and theatre productions, making live art accessible online.

Currently we are working on two documentary films. “Ukrainian Circus During War” (2025–2026) documents the circus industry in wartime Ukraine. Produced together with Australian circus artist and school owner Chris Mayhew, the film is based on extensive filming across active circuses and children’s circus schools in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.

The second project, the documentary “Home by Zholdak” focuses on the theatre production Home (Дім) directed by Andriy Zholdak.

I believe live art deserves to be documented with the same care as it is created.

Also I am an architect and a CTO in software development, and play badminton.
